Denise Busony

Denise is a former Indiana farm girl who now resides in Surf City, USA (Huntington Beach, California). She began her fine art journey in 2019 when she bought a plein air kit on a Wednesday evening and joined her first plein air paint out in Laguna Beach the next morning. She jumped right into the plein air painting movement and has never looked back.

Her art practice includes both soft pastel and oil paint; she enjoys exploring both mediums in the studio and en plein air. But she truly relishes the intuitiveness that painting on location in rapidly changing light demands.

Denise is an active member of Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA), an Artist member of the California Art Club and Southern California Plein Air Painters Association (SOCALPAPA). She is represented by Huse Skelly Gallery in Newport Beach and Studio 7 Gallery in Laguna Beach.
